OS Maps is a terribly glitchy app
OS Maps is a terribly glitchy app, on both Apple and Android. A lot of the features such as gpx import and offline maps constantly crash.
OS customer services are just as useless, don't expect them to be any help with responding or getting your money back.

Don't waste your money
I have bought a lot of os maps and all of them have been innacurate.a lot of so-called paths don't exist and clearly never have as there are houses or brick walls in the way that have been there for hundreds of years. The maps don't show paths that do exist and clearly these paths have been there for a long time as they are well used and identified with markers.
You are much better off nowadays using Google maps as they are much more accurate and show satellite images as well as your location.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, clueless staff who clearly need training. Just spouting out standard response nonsense.
Avoid and find somewhere else for your mapping.

OS Maps is disappointing
OS Maps is disappointing especially as it comes from one of the world's premier mapping agencies. The so-called Standard Map is useless. It shows hardly any detail, no paths or public rights of way, and is in such low contrast colours it is almost impossible to read. The Premium level allows access to standard OS maps but it is clumsy to use in planning routes and importantly the 'snap to' element of attaching routes to pathways only works in National Parks. So for most of the country it is not available. You have to toggle in and out of full screen mode to get access to controls and zooming in and out. Searching for routes brings up hundreds put there by the public which are difficult to sort through in popular areas. A great disappointment. I won't be taking up the subscription when my free month expires.

Wonderful invention & super fast delivery
I have just purchased a pair of Drying Mitts & Dog Drying Coat what a wonderful invention & so simple but does a marvellous job! I am so pleased with these mitts as this make drying the legs & feet s synch & you can wrap your dog up in the terry towelling drying coat which keeps your car seats dry as well when your best friend has been enjoying a swim! They are both such simple inventions but makes a world of a difference. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending these & Ordnance Survey as the service was fantastic with super fast delivery as these were only ordered a couple days ago amazing thank you so much
Happy Bunny
Hi there, well, where do I start? I'd been looking to buy a water filtration bottle and bought one at Ordnance Survey. However, the bottle never turned up and when I received an email to review the product, I realised something was wrong...I checked Trust Pilot for reviews and I thought, Oh Jesus! doesn't look good, I doubt I'll get this bottle ever. I did write to them about the missing item though and they did replied to me after more than a week and sent another one which I have received yesterday! :-) So I can testify that they are legitimate and the product is excellent too (water-to-go - filtration system)

If all help desks were as good as OS's the world would be a better place!
I have recently had to call OS phone support a couple of times for different reasons. The phone service they give is exemplary. Clear, helpful, competent and on one call they fixed a problem caused by me in moments and yesterday a question transferring my map codes from android to a new i phone. My experience has been (as a senior IT manager) that most problems encountered with the os app are related to my hardware or user error. The OS support team are fabulous. If every help team worked as well as these guys do the world of IT would be a much better place!
Love this app
Can't contradict all the people who've had issues with the app, but I've been using it on an Android phone for a year and I swear by it.
I love the ease of using it, whether navigating, loading maps, or finding a route to follow.
I've had a couple of problems using it, but that was me being dense, and the technical support folks sorted me out in no time.
I've recommended it to family and friends, no problem.

Great response to an ordering error
Bought 3 pairs of socks recently (in a 3 for 2 deal) but in a rush, I ordered one the wrong size (the default is for size S). Emailed immediately - but too late to prevent dispatch.
I was impressed that I did not have to pay to return the incorrect pair or for them to immediatley dispatch the correct size, especially as it was my error.
The only slight downside is always getting an autoreply even when responding to an email from Customer Services.

Fantastic customer service!
Had issue with app - map not showing up - spoke to Claire on the phone and she was an absolute star! She quickly found my account and assigned the map to it. All in all, the call took 3minutes and I wasn’t on hold. Thank you, Claire!

The screen keeps freezing and staying…
The screen keeps freezing and staying white. Can't even get my offline maps loaded. Paid for the app to mainly use as a back up the mountains. The time I need it in an emergency it won't work. The problem is regular.
Contacted OS about this 3 weeks ago but no reply.
Premium Online OS maps could be great
Premium Online OS maps could be great. But plotting routes on android phone almost impossible. Won't snap route as said it will in National parks. Not an enjoyable experience. Lots of glitches. Really not compatible. Hope OS will sort these problems out. Shame as the maps are great.
Totally useless custom map.
I just bought a custom landranger map of my local area and was looking forward to getting it, when the packet showed up, it was so small that I thought there must have been some kind of mistake, it wasn't a map at all, it was a very small pamphlet, I didn't see when I was ordering that the folded map would actually be a tiny little thing, not much bigger than the Tube map that you can pick up at any underground station for free, it is totally useless, you need a magnifying glass to read it.
